Real Vision chief crypto analyst Jamie Coutts defended Bloomberg Intelligence Senior Commodity Analyst Mike McGlone, saying markets need opposing views and that McGlone had supported Bitcoin before Coutts joined Bloomberg as a full-time crypto analyst. Coutts said McGlone had also identified stablecoins as the next major trend as early as 2019. McGlone cut his Bitcoin target to $28,000 in February and in mid-August forecast a decline to $10,000, prompting criticism of his bearish outlook. Coutts argued that a market cannot function if people are unable to freely express differing views.
