July data showed divergent retail momentum in Poland, Denmark and Taiwan, alongside a record expansion in Taiwan’s wholesale sector. Poland’s retail sales rose 3.9% year-on-year, down from 6.2% in June and below a 4.5% Reuters poll forecast; monthly sales increased 2.2%, while January–July sales rose 3.7%. Denmark’s retail sales grew 6.7% year-on-year, accelerating from a June increase reported as 4.8% in the newer record and 4.6% in the earlier record; the records also differ over whether the comparison concerns July 2025 or July 2026. Taiwan’s retail revenue rose 7.7% year-on-year to a July record of NT$418.3 billion, while wholesale revenue surged 56.4% to a record NT$1.76 trillion, driven by AI, high-performance computing and cloud demand. Taiwan’s food and beverage services revenue increased 2.5% to a monthly record of NT$88.7 billion. The Ministry of Economic Affairs said a typhoon reduced working days and foot traffic, while the CLC Oil incident had no significant overall effect, and projected August wholesale revenue of NT$1.7107 trillion to NT$1.7443 trillion.
