U.S.-listed semiconductor, storage and optical communications stocks moved lower in Monday premarket trading on Aug. 24, according to market data from BIT (bit.com). Semiconductor shares declined broadly, with Lam Research (LRCX) down 2.39%, Intel (INTC) off 1.7%, Applied Materials (AMAT) falling 2.05% and Arm (ARM) declining 1.96%. Storage stocks also weakened: SK Hynix (SKHY) fell 3.02%, Micron Technology (MU) dropped 3.18%, Western Digital (WDC) lost 2.61%, SanDisk (SNDK) declined 4.08% and Seagate Technology (STX) slipped 2.94%. Optical communications stocks posted some of the steepest losses, led by Applied Optoelectronics (AAOI), which fell 11.66%. Astera Labs (ALAB) declined 4.11%, Coherent (COHR) fell 4.16%, Credo (CRDO) dropped 3.34% and Lumentum (LITE) lost 4.35%.
