Shares of BTC Digital Ltd. surged sharply on Monday, climbing more than 50% in premarket trade and as much as 120% in morning trading to a 2026 high, after the Nasdaq-listed company said construction of its 10-megawatt cryptocurrency mining facility in Georgia is complete and approaching deployment readiness. Management expects the site to be ready within roughly two months to house high-performance mining machines and begin digital asset mining, subject to power interconnection and pre-deployment work. At full build-out the facility is designed for up to about 900,000 TH/s, or roughly 0.9 EH/s, equal to about 0.1% of a Bitcoin network near 900 EH/s, with machines to be rolled out progressively based on market conditions. The project anchors BTCT’s dual-engine strategy pairing crypto mining with AI and high-performance computing infrastructure, building on earlier plans for staged AI capacity at the site from 5 MW toward as much as 25 MW and a June institutional financing of about $7 million. The move coincided with broader digital-asset strength, bitcoin trading around $78,500 to above $79,000 after last week’s White House Crypto Summit, and related sector expansion including a large TeraWulf Kentucky power deal.
