First Phosphate Corp (NASDAQ:PHOS) (OTC:FRSPF) filed an updated technical report showing a 378% increase in indicated resources at its Bégin-Lamarche project in Quebec compared with the initial assessment released on September 9, 2024. The deposit, 50 kilometers northwest of Saguenay, contains 6.2 million tonnes of measured pit-constrained resources grading 7.70% phosphate, 198.5 million tonnes of indicated resources grading 6.00%, and 89.5 million tonnes of inferred resources grading 6.16%. It remains open at depth, leaving room for potential future expansion. Metallurgical testing projected apatite concentrate (phosphate-bearing mineral product) at 40.4% phosphate with 88% process recovery, while the material contained minimal potentially harmful elements. The concentrate qualified for battery-grade phosphoric acid production, achieving a 91.1% conversion ratio, supporting lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supply chains. The project is next to established roads and hydroelectric facilities and is 70 kilometers by road from the deep-sea Port of Saguenay. First Phosphate's ADRs began trading on the Nasdaq Global Market in August after the company completed an uplisting without raising additional equity capital. Its shares were up 9.49% at $20.26 in premarket trading Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
