Stand With Crypto, the Coinbase-launched advocacy group, has opened its 2026 midterm push by backing 32 bipartisan U.S. House incumbents who voted for the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act when the House passed it in July 2025, with additional names still expected. The early focus on sitting members with established digital-asset records is a more deliberate approach than earlier scattershot crypto spending, aiming to protect allies in a chamber where a small number of districts may decide control and to create a clearer scorecard for holding those lawmakers accountable after the election. Endorsements also signal the group’s member network on where volunteer time, donations, and voter attention should be directed. The organization, which claims more than 3 million registered U.S. advocates, has highlighted Republicans such as Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga and Democrats such as Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer, including several in competitive races. Crypto-linked groups have committed close to $200 million in the cycle, while the Senate remains stalled on the companion market-structure bill amid banking-industry pressure for last-minute changes; a weakened Senate text could force House allies to defend or distance themselves from the framework. Real-world asset tokenization has crossed $20 billion on-chain as institutional settlement moves from pilots to live activity, anchoring the fight in markets that already exist and raising the risk that unfinished work would restart in 2027.
