Diana Shipping Inc. extended the time charter for its 81,297 dwt Panamax dry bulk vessel Leto with Cargill International SA, Geneva. The contract carries a gross rate of $18,000 per day, less a 4.75% third-party commission, and is scheduled to begin on September 10, 2026, running until at least September 1, 2027, and no later than October 31, 2027. Leto is currently chartered at $12,750 per day, less the same commission. The minimum scheduled period is expected to produce approximately $6.34 million in gross revenue. Diana Shipping's fleet comprises 36 dry bulk vessels with approximately 4.1 million dwt of combined capacity and a weighted average age of 12.75 years, excluding two methanol dual-fuel Kamsarmax newbuildings expected in the second half of 2027 and the first half of 2028. The company cautioned that its forward-looking expectations are subject to market, operational, political, regulatory and financing risks.
