Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said Bitcoin’s recovery above $79,000 may not mark the end of the bear market and that she would consider buying more if the price falls to around $50,000 in the second half of this year or early next year. She cautioned that short-term gains may prove fragile amid macroeconomic uncertainty, changing interest-rate expectations, global liquidity conditions, regulatory developments and shifting investor sentiment, while stressing that she is "just a CEO of an exchange" and "not particularly good at price analysis." Most of her personal portfolio is allocated to Bitcoin and the S&P 500, with Ethereum and Solana together accounting for less than 1%. An earlier account described significant stablecoin holdings, creating a portfolio-allocation discrepancy. Chen is favorable toward Hyperliquid, particularly if it gains access to regulated U.S. markets, but is critical of memecoins and does not expect a repeat of the previous memecoin frenzy because many investors lost money. Her stance suggests that even some industry insiders remain unconvinced that the market has reached a durable bottom.
