SpaceX and NVIDIA have advanced the debut of the first satellites carrying AI computing capacity to the fourth quarter of 2027, earlier than a prior 2028 target, using a space-optimized Vera Rubin NVL72 system designed for orbital conditions, with large-scale deployment planned in 2028. SpaceXAI will deploy NVIDIA processors, including Vera CPUs, for orchestration, code execution and data processing in next-generation agentic AI workloads while GPUs handle training and inference, supporting Grok infrastructure toward gigawatt-scale capacity. Elon Musk said the orbital rack design is simpler, lower cost, denser and lighter than a traditional rack. After the update, SpaceX shares strengthened, rising as much as about 2.9% intraday to $138.92.
