New York-based General Intuition is in talks to raise new funding at a $6 billion pre-money valuation, with the round reportedly oversubscribed and still being finalized. New investors include Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures and Seven Seven Six, while existing backers Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst are also participating. The proposed financing follows a $320 million round at a $2.3 billion valuation just weeks earlier; the latest account describes the increase as roughly three times, while earlier reporting compared the proposed pre-money valuation with the prior post-money valuation and calculated a lower multiple. Spun out of Medal by CEO Pim de Witte, General Intuition is building a foundation model for AI agents that can operate across physical space and time, using gameplay footage and action labels as training data. It plans to direct the new capital toward compute infrastructure, including a partnership with CoreWeave, model development, robotic embodiments and additional hiring.
