OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic, president and COO of Google-owned cybersecurity company Wiz, as chief revenue officer, replacing Denise Dresser, the former CEO of Slack, after less than a year. Dresser said on LinkedIn that she stepped away, while sources cited by Fortune said OpenAI decided to let her go and take the role in a different direction. The move is the company’s fifth C-suite shakeup in the past year as it accelerates enterprise growth ahead of what could be a 2027 IPO, reportedly trailing Anthropic in the race to the public markets. Rajic, 53, is regarded as one of technology’s most disciplined enterprise-sales leaders and brings experience at AppDynamics, Zscaler and Wiz, as well as expertise in the MEDDPICC sales framework. OpenAI is pitching its models to businesses for cybersecurity and has expanded its Daybreak program into multiple access tiers. Rajic starts this week, but questions remain over whether he can avoid the burnout and turnover that have affected OpenAI’s sales organization.
