Coinbase selects Chainlink to power tokenized stocks on Base

Coinbase has selected Chainlink as the official oracle infrastructure for its newly launched Tokenized Stocks on Base, giving developers continuous pricing for assets including NVDAc, METAc, AAPLc and GOOGLc. Chainlink oracles (services supplying external data to blockchains) will allow lending markets, decentralized exchanges and structured-product platforms to use the tokenized equities as collateral and other composable financial building blocks. The tokens are standard B20 tokens on Base, each backed 1:1 by an underlying equity share held in regulated custody with Alpaca under the Abu Dhabi Global Market framework. Tokenized equities reached a record $2.3 billion by mid-July 2026, but the release says their utility is limited without institutional-grade market data. Coinbase and Chainlink say the integration can support 24/7 collateral management, yield generation and borrowing against U.S. stocks for millions of Base users while accelerating the convergence of traditional finance and decentralized finance. The Tokenized Stocks are available only in eligible jurisdictions outside the U.S.
