Bitcoin traded near $78,450 on Wednesday after briefly reclaiming $80,000, with CoinGecko pricing it at $78,447.81; Ethereum changed hands at $2,462.96. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs took in $314.37 million on Aug. 25, a seventh straight inflow day that lifted seven-session totals to about $2.57 billion in one account and roughly $2.47 billion in another, while combined net assets reached $99.05 billion. BlackRock’s IBIT absorbed $284.42 million, more than 90% of the daily total, as August inflows hit $3.03 billion. Spot ether ETFs added $179.80 million, led by BlackRock’s ETHA, bringing ether ETF assets to $14.88 billion; Solana, XRP and HYPE ETFs also drew inflows, and Grayscale converted its Zcash Trust into the ZCSH ETF. Whales realized large profits even as institutions absorbed supply, and the Crypto Fear & Greed Index cooled to 65 while remaining in Greed territory.
