Coinbase options data show one-standard-deviation price ranges through Aug. 30 of ±13.1% for XRP, ±11.2% for SOL, ±9.7% for ETH and ±6.7% for BTC. XRP also has the highest implied volatility premium among the major cryptocurrencies, at 2.65 times its median realized volatility over the past seven days. The options range is not directional, but indicates the magnitude of movement traders are pricing. Network activity has also increased sharply, with active XRP addresses rising from 47,180 to 356,070, a 654.71% increase, according to crypto analyst Ali. XRP gained nearly 49% over the week in its strongest performance since November 2024, rising more than 71% from $0.99 on Aug. 19 to $1.699 on Aug. 22. The move outpaced Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, while options markets now signal the potential for further sharp movement through Aug. 30.
