Lotte GRS will re-enter Indonesia through a master franchise agreement with Bogajaya Group, an Indonesian food and beverage company. The partners plan to open an outlet by the end of this year and expand Angel-in-us to 10 locations within five years, initially targeting Juanda International Airport before moving into major shopping malls and landmarks. Lotte previously operated Angel-in-us outlets alongside its Lotteria burger chain in Indonesia but withdrew from the market in 2020. The company currently operates 240 Angel-in-us outlets in South Korea and has no overseas stores. Indonesia’s population of about 270 million makes it a strategic base for the brand’s global expansion, while Bogajaya contributes local market knowledge and experience securing and operating locations at major airports.
