Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) has introduced a simplified application and preliminary site review process for new construction purchase agreements, allowing individuals and corporations with land for at least 500 homes in the Seoul metropolitan area, or 200 homes in regulated zones, to apply without design blueprints at the initial stage. Applicants can submit a business plan of up to five A4 pages, including information on public transit, education, daily amenities and the residential environment, and combine sites in multiple locations in one online application. Sites that pass LH's preliminary review will be exempt from document screening and receive full marks for site-related criteria in the subsequent purchase review, provided design blueprints are submitted within one month. LH plans to fast-track qualifying sites for agreement signing within the year. Applications are accepted through LH Cheongyak Plus until the 15th of next month, with consultations available until the 14th and a briefing scheduled for the 1st of next month in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
