Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) urged Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to testify before Congress after a New York Times report said Ukrainian investigators found Nvidia Jetson Orin computers in Russian drones used in attacks around Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian officials said the civilian systems may have allowed drones to identify targets without a human operator making the final strike decision; one drone reportedly killed three people on July 6. Ukraine's defense intelligence agency also said a Jetson computer was found on a Russian S-71M Monochrome missile being tested in attacks against Ukraine. Nvidia said the Jetson systems were consumer-grade products not sold in Russia or designed for military use, but acknowledged that resale markets prevent it from tracking secondary sales. Warren had previously invited Huang to testify before the Senate Banking Committee about Nvidia's China operations and U.S. export controls; he declined, saying he was unable to attend, while inviting Warren and committee members to Nvidia's California headquarters. Nvidia closed Monday at $208.48, down 2.91%, before rising 0.20% to $208.90 in after-hours trading.
