LX Pantos completed a high-security project transporting air-to-air missiles from France to South Korea for Korea Aerospace Industries’ Marine Corps attack helicopter system development program, led by South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration. The cargo was flown on a dedicated charter aircraft from Châteauroux Airport to Incheon International Airport and delivered by ground to a Marine Corps base in Pohang. The operation required compliance with dangerous-goods and national aviation rules, including overflight clearance from 14 countries. The project highlights intensifying competition in South Korea’s defense logistics market, which Fortune Business Insights estimates will grow from approximately $182.5 billion last year to $343.35 billion by 2034. Hyundai Glovis and CJ Logistics are also expanding defense transport operations as South Korea’s weapons exports grow.
