Denmark’s retail sales increased 6.7% year-on-year in July 2026, up from 4.6% in June and marking the strongest growth since March 2026. Growth accelerated across consumer electronics; household equipment, furniture and building materials; supermarkets, department stores and specialized grocery stores; cultural and leisure products; and pharmaceuticals and personal care products. Sales at liquid fuel filling stations declined at a slower pace, while growth moderated in clothing, footwear and jewelry, as well as second-hand goods. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail sales rose 1.3%, following a revised 0.2% increase in June.
