Poland’s registered unemployment rate remained at 5.8% in July 2026, matching market expectations and the previous month’s level. It was the lowest reading since December 2025, as the number of unemployed people fell by 4.9 thousand month-on-month to 906.4 thousand. Women accounted for 49.6% of the total, while 87% were not entitled to unemployment benefits. Company-related terminations represented 4.5% of unemployed people, fresh graduates 1.8%, and 373.2 thousand had been without work for more than a year. The rate was nevertheless 0.4 percentage points above July 2025, when it stood at 5.4%. Reported job vacancies increased by 3.5 thousand during July to 46.6 thousand at the end of the month.
