Indian AI infrastructure company AM Intelligence has placed a binding order with Nvidia for about 9,000 Vera Rubin NVL72 rack-scale systems, becoming one of the first enterprises in Asia to adopt Nvidia’s next-generation platform. The systems are expected to go live at an AI factory in Hyderabad next year, initially supporting 30 megawatts of capacity and serving cloud providers, AI labs and institutions developing India-made AI models. The order forms part of AM Intelligence’s more than $8 billion expansion plan to build 1 gigawatt of compute capacity, with 200 megawatts expected to become available in the near term. The company says the Hyderabad site will use RoCE networking and advanced storage to run trillion-parameter models and agentic AI applications. The group plans to finance the buildout through debt and equity and ultimately develop 5 gigawatts of data-center capacity across India, Europe and other regions by 2030.
