Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ: MSTR) and Coinbase Global Inc. (NASDAQ: COIN) drew fresh Wall Street support on Tuesday as Canaccord Genuity lifted its Strategy price target to $175 from $130 and Goldman Sachs raised its Coinbase target to $196 from $173, both keeping Buy ratings after a sharp rebound in crypto-linked equities. Strategy’s advance coincided with Monday 8-K details showing it raised $2 billion via 18.26 million MSTR unit sales between Aug. 17 and Aug. 23, putting $300 million into its USD Reserve, $136.4 million into repurchasing 1.43 million STRC preferred shares and $1.59 billion into a new USD Cash liquidity pool that can be used flexibly for any treasury purpose, bringing total dollar liquidity to $6.69 billion; it bought no bitcoin that week and still held 840,447 BTC at an average $75,385. MSTR closed Tuesday at $126.83 after gaining 34.66% since Aug. 19, leaving Canaccord’s $175 target about 38% above the close, while COIN finished at $187.16, up 4.28%, only about 5% below Goldman’s new target after a 27.14% rise over the same stretch. Goldman highlighted upside optionality from any sustained crypto improvement plus growth in newer businesses including derivatives and prediction markets, after having carried a $235 COIN target in March before earlier cuts, and after a July 31 wave of target reductions following Coinbase’s third straight earnings miss. Canaccord described Strategy’s setup as materially brighter in recent weeks. Both revised targets still imply further upside from Tuesday’s closes, with the path of last week’s rally into September likely to shape whether analysts raise them again.
