Google Cloud launched Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services on August 25, 2026, as a purpose-built agentic AI platform for capital markets and corporate banking. Deutsche Bank is the initial design partner, with the platform’s Google-managed financial research agent designed to automate credit risk assessments, portfolio monitoring, market-news synthesis and investigative research. The agent has more than 50 specialized skills and access to institutional data from providers including FactSet and Moody’s. Google says the system can complete a bond portfolio risk analysis in under five minutes, while Deutsche Bank plans to deploy it first in its Corporate Bank division to assess client needs and recommend products. The platform remains in preview and includes 13 enterprise-grade data connectors, governance and data-residency controls, full data provenance and integrations with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Deutsche Bank’s wider partnership with Google Cloud began in late 2020, and its earlier AI research assistant, DB Lumina, reached 97% document-processing accuracy after launching in September 2024. CME Group and other financial institutions are also early adopters, while Google is expanding its industry-specific AI strategy amid intensifying cloud competition.
