XRP Ledger Foundation community leader and validator Vet has outlined amendments for a native lending, privacy and identity stack that would operate directly at the network level without external smart contracts or bridges. XLS-65 and XLS-66 cover the lending protocol, XLS-0096 addresses accountable privacy and Permission Delegation, and XLS-70 covers digital identity verification. The infrastructure would build on the ledger's existing decentralized exchange, tokenization and compliance features, allowing institutions and retail XRP holders to access lending, liquidity and privacy tools through their wallets. XLS-0096 would encrypt balances and transaction amounts from third parties while preserving visibility for issuers and regulators, and Permission Delegation would let banks and funds authorize traders or bots without exposing private keys. The lending system includes single-asset vaults and institutional pools, with Ripple's partnership with Clearpool and Cicada Partners expected to support pools backed by RLUSD. XLS-70 would enable digital credentials for streamlined compliance while keeping personal data hidden from third parties. The proposals remain subject to community consensus and validation, and their success will depend on community engagement and technical implementation.
