U.S. stock trading may move to a 7×24-hour model within five years, according to Grayscale founder Barry Silbert, who discussed the prospect with WTF Academy founder 0xAA during a YZi Labs event in Bhutan on Aug. 26. Silbert said competition from crypto trading platforms such as Hyperliquid, including its potential entry into the U.S. market, could accelerate the transition. He also said tokenized stocks may become less attractive in the U.S. if traditional markets begin operating around the clock, although they could still matter in other regions. On ZEC, Silbert described memecoins as essentially gambling and joked that investors seeking such risk should buy ZEC. He said Zcash is built on Bitcoin and has stronger privacy features, and that its market capitalization could eventually reach one-tenth of Bitcoin's, implying a price of about $8,000.
