Aerodrome, the dominant decentralized exchange (DEX) on Coinbase’s Base network, has launched liquidity pools for tokenized versions of Nvidia, Meta, Apple and Alphabet shares. The tokens, branded NVDAc, METAc, AAPLc and GOOGLc, were issued by Coinbase and launched on August 24, with combined onchain value of roughly $4.55 million. Aerodrome’s governance token AERO climbed about 11.3% to approximately $0.5334, while trading volume reached around $94.3 million. Each token represents a one-to-one claim on a real share held in regulated custody at Alpaca under the Abu Dhabi Global Market regulatory framework. The B20 token standard supports corporate actions such as dividends and stock splits onchain. Access is limited to eligible users outside the United States. Nvidia’s pool opened with roughly $957,000 in liquidity, while the Meta, Apple and Google pools held between $619,000 and $669,000 each. Because the assets operate on Base, they may be composable with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols such as Aave, potentially allowing tokenized shares to serve as loan collateral or to be paired with stablecoins in yield-generating strategies. Unlike U.S. stock markets, which operate roughly 6.5 hours a day, five days a week, the tokenized assets trade continuously. Additional tokenized stocks could follow in the coming weeks.
