Cisco Systems expanded its Secure AI Factory with Nvidia through a partnership with Super Micro Computer, adding high-density liquid- and air-cooled GPU systems. The offering combines Cisco’s liquid-cooled networking systems with Supermicro’s liquid-cooled servers for Nvidia’s next-generation Vera Rubin NVL72 and HGX Rubin NVL8 platforms. The move underscores a broader shift in AI infrastructure as increasingly powerful GPU clusters generate more heat and push conventional air cooling toward its practical limits. TrendForce forecasts liquid cooling penetration among AI chips will rise from 33% in 2025 to 53% in 2026 and 60% in 2027.
