Naver D2SF has invested in F4GE, a defense and manufacturing infrastructure startup founded in January 2026. F4GE is building a programmable manufacturing network that connects South Korea's fragmented root-industry factories with global defense and manufacturing companies. Its software collects real-time equipment, process, inspection and workflow data from existing factories and converts it into the standardized documentation and compliance frameworks required by international buyers. The model is designed to help Korean manufacturers enter global supply chains without replacing large-scale equipment or systems while giving buyers access to verifiable manufacturing partners. The undisclosed funding round was F4GE's first institutional investment since its founding and included Naver D2SF, K-Net Investment Partners, Saje Partners, D.CAMP and 500 Global, among other domestic and international investors. F4GE is expanding factory partnerships around Sacheon, Changwon and Busan and building demand-side relationships in North America and Europe across defense, aerospace, shipbuilding and robotics. It plans to use the investment to hire manufacturing engineering and artificial intelligence talent and add manufacturing partnerships. Naver D2SF has also opened an investment call for defense and manufacturing startups, with applications accepted through October 25.
