Woolworths Group reported underlying net profit of A$1.6 billion for the 52 weeks ended June 28, 2026, up 15% from A$1.39 billion a year earlier and A$50 million above the Visible Alpha consensus. Group sales rose 3.6% to A$71.5 billion and underlying EBIT increased 12.7% to A$3.11 billion. The Australian Food division led growth as cost-of-living pressures encouraged customers to buy discounted and private-label products. Its sales rose 4.6% to A$53.85 billion, while e-commerce sales increased 15.9%. Woolworths shares rose 4.7% to A$40.68 in Sydney after the announcement. The company raised its fully franked final dividend to 52 Australian cents per share, taking the full-year payout to 97 cents, up 15.5%. Australian Food sales increased 7.6% in the first eight weeks of fiscal 2027, although Woolworths estimated that the Disney Woolies collectibles campaign contributed 1.5 to 2 percentage points. The company expects value-conscious shopping to continue for another year as household budgets remain under pressure.
