Semtech reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of 71 cents per share and revenue of $341.9 million, beating estimates of 57 cents and $328.61 million, respectively. Revenue rose 33% year over year, while adjusted earnings increased 73%. The data center business grew 91% as demand for AI infrastructure and 800G products accelerated. The company forecast third-quarter revenue of $405 million to $415 million, or about $410 million, versus a reported consensus estimate of $324.46 million, and adjusted earnings of $1.02 to $1.08 per share compared with an estimate of 61 cents. Infrastructure revenue rose 69% to $124 million, including a 91% increase in data center sales to $100 million, while LoRa-enabled revenue climbed 58% to a record $58 million. Semtech said stronger bookings and a record backlog provide greater visibility into the next fiscal year. It expects Fiber Edge market share to exceed 50% by the end of fiscal 2027 and plans to begin generating revenue from high-power continuous-wave laser transceivers in the first half of fiscal 2028.
