Coinone has eliminated trading fees across all listed cryptocurrencies from 11 a.m. on Aug. 26, 2026, until further notice, offering renewable 30-day zero-fee vouchers without eligibility or reissuance limits. Digital X, the operator of Korbit, waived fees on all cryptocurrencies in its Korean won market for one year from Aug. 24. The moves target Upbit and Bithumb, which held 68.11% and 28.95% of won-market trading volume, respectively, while Coinone and Korbit held 2.39% and 0.52%, according to CoinGecko. The campaigns follow ownership changes involving Mirae Asset Consulting and Korea Investment & Securities, but they also surrender a revenue stream that represented nearly all of the exchanges' operating income as trading volumes and profits weaken.
