Darline Graham won the Republican primary runoff in South Carolina for the U.S. Senate, securing the GOP nomination and a victory for President Donald Trump. She will run in November for a full, six-year Senate term representing the seat her brother Lindsey held for 23 years before his death in July. Graham had been appointed to hold the seat until the beginning of January and defeated Representative Ralph Norman in the runoff. Trump endorsed Graham and invested time and money in the contest as he sought to reverse a streak of losing endorsements. The result followed an unusually high-drama primary but matched projections made six months earlier that a Graham would emerge as the nominee.
