The SKhynix flagship store has posted a notice saying it plans to independently end operations on Sept. 9, 2026, and all products have been removed. As of Aug. 25, the store could no longer be found directly on Taobao. The outlet mainly sold consumer solid-state drives under the SK hynix brand and listed Tianjin Hailishi Technology Co. as its operator. SK hynix China said the store was not directly operated by the company and is still verifying the closure, the status or authorization of other related e-commerce stores, and warranty arrangements for historical orders. The closure has revived speculation that SK hynix may scale back its consumer storage business, although company representatives denied on Jan. 14 reports that it planned to exit consumer DRAM (memory used for active data) and NAND (flash storage memory) products.
