A South Korean National Assembly review said a bill requiring finfluencers to disclose their virtual asset holdings could restrict privacy and individuals’ control over their personal information. Kwak Hyun-jun, a senior specialist on the National Assembly’s Political Affairs Committee, made the assessment in a report dated today reviewing proposed amendments to the Virtual Asset User Protection Act. The bill, introduced by Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Seung-won, would establish a new disclosure requirement for finfluencers’ digital asset holdings. Kwak said the scope of finfluencers covered by the rule also requires further review.
