Pump.fun now generates more than twice Solana’s monthly revenue, with trailing 30-day fees between $42 million and $51 million as of late August 2026 and weekly revenue peaking at $14 million, the highest since February 2026. The figures imply an annualized run rate of about $460 million to $500 million and place the memecoin launchpad ahead of Solana’s base-layer fee take while also outpacing Hyperliquid on some seven-day and 30-day windows. August month-to-date revenue reached $45.6 million with four days left, versus $41.9 million for HyperliquidX, after a $2.4 million single-day high on August 25. Launched on January 19, 2024, Pump.fun earns from token creation, PumpSwap trading and related charges and has accumulated $1.259 billion in lifetime revenue, the first Solana application past $1 billion. About half of fees fund automated PUMP token buybacks and burns totaling more than $429 million and removing roughly 28.6% of circulating supply. The platform has expanded to Base, BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum and in August 2026 introduced Callout Rewards while cutting trading fees. The app-versus-chain gap underscores how application-layer fees can exceed structurally lower base-layer charges as ecosystems mature.
