Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the Strait of Hormuz will not fully reopen until the US accepts Tehran’s conditions and implements commitments under a 14-point memorandum of understanding reached in Islamabad. IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohibi said Iran and Oman had reached understandings on waterway access and transit revenues, while Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said a temporary seven-mile transit route had been agreed but that further talks were needed on a permanent route.
