BMO Capital Markets began covering Broadcom with an outperform rating and a $455 price target. BMO analyst Harsh Kumar said Broadcom is a leading AI supplier in custom ASICs and networking, and the world’s second-largest AI chip company after Nvidia. Broadcom is also reportedly discussing more than $60 billion in debt financing to fund AI chips for customers including Anthropic. Blackstone and Apollo may participate, while the final financing could reach $100 billion.
