Cooper said Navy divers, special operations forces and air assets cleared mines laid months earlier by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, while nearly 1,500 vessels carrying about 750 million barrels of crude have transited in recent months. Roughly 50,000 U.S. troops, more than 20 warships and hundreds of aircraft have enforced a naval blockade that Cooper said produced zero Iranian oil exports, turning back 75 vessels and disabling three.
