Coinbase has enabled full spot trading for Grass (GRASS) against the US dollar on Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced, with market, limit, and stop orders now live. The GRASS-USD pair completed a five-day rollout after Coinbase added the token to its public listing roadmap on August 21 and opened spot trading on August 26, advancing from an auction of at least ten minutes through limit-only mode into full trading. At launch, GRASS traded roughly between $0.30 and $0.37, with a market capitalization in the low-to-mid hundreds of millions of dollars. Eligible users can buy, sell, convert, send, receive, and store the Solana SPL token through Coinbase's website and mobile app in supported regions, while institutions access the pair on Coinbase Exchange. GRASS is the utility token of a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that rewards users for sharing unused internet bandwidth used in decentralized web scraping and data collection for AI model training. The Grass network launched its mainnet in 2024, and the token was already trading on other exchanges before the Coinbase listing. Coinbase had placed GRASS on its August 21 roadmap alongside Basecat (BASECAT), DebtReliefBot (DRB), and Dolphin (POD), and perpetual futures under GRASS-PERP were already in full trading on Coinbase International Exchange as of March 2025.
