Chief Product Development Officer Shankar Krishnamoorthy said AI will increasingly orchestrate product-development processes as engineering teams manage growing complexity across hardware, software and physics. Synopsys has cited productivity gains of up to six times in agentic formal verification, a bug tied to a persistent modeling issue that traditional tools missed, and 25%-40% reductions in debug-cycle time in collaboration with Microsoft Discovery. The company’s end-to-end autonomous verification workflow is designed to compress weeks of manual work into hours and help engineers assess more design alternatives. Investor attention will also center on Synopsys’ expanding $2 billion partnership with Nvidia focused on AI chip design when the company reports quarterly earnings on August 26, 2026. Krishnamoorthy said companies combining agentic AI, accelerated computing and multiphysics simulation may be best positioned to improve engineering velocity and deliver first-time-right silicon.
