An attacker exploited a vulnerability in the shared Cosmos EVM stack to inflate a Nesa (NES) balance by roughly 200 times and bridge about $50 million of tokens from Nesa Chain to Ethereum. After the tokens were divided among eight wallets and sold for ETH, disappearing liquidity and severe slippage meant the attacker recovered approximately $315,000 after spending about $255,000, for a gain near $60,000. Cosmos Labs advised chains running vulnerable versions earlier than v0.6.2 or v0.7.2 to halt and upgrade. KiiChain, MANTRA and TAC also reported incidents, while the latest vulnerability’s root cause, full list of affected chains and total losses remain undisclosed.
