Salesforce and Anthropic have expanded their partnership and unveiled Claudeforce, an enterprise AI service designed to combine Claude’s reasoning with Salesforce data, workflows, business rules and permissions. Its first product, Salesforce in Claude, brings CRM functions into Claude and offers 37 pre-built sales skills, including meeting preparation, deal reviews and pipeline analysis. Users can query customer and contract information, draft emails and update Salesforce records without leaving Claude, while Salesforce retains control of authentication, access rights and task execution. Claude will also operate inside Salesforce’s Agentforce platform, including Agentforce Vibe, Coworker and Agent Builder, with access delivered through Amazon Bedrock within Salesforce’s security perimeter. In Slack, Claude will become the default model for Slackbot and support Claude Tags and Slack Code. The companies are also adopting each other’s products: Salesforce plans to use Claude Code and Claude Enterprise, while Anthropic will use Salesforce as its primary CRM and Slack as its collaboration platform. Salesforce in Claude is available to select pilot customers, with an open beta planned for September and additional skills scheduled from the second half of the year. The launch comes amid investor concerns that AI agents could displace traditional SaaS, including an $830 billion decline in global software and services market capitalization over six trading days beginning Jan. 28. Salesforce shares are down about 22% this year after falling 20% in 2025, while the Nasdaq has gained about 35% since the end of 2024. Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate reached $65 billion at the end of July, according to the existing topic record.
