HP Inc. shares recovered on Friday, rising 1.77% to $30.15, as investors stepped back in after a volatile post-earnings selloff and several firms raised price targets. The stock had dropped about 10.5% in Thursday premarket to $27.32 after third-quarter results highlighted shrinking Personal Systems margins, rising memory costs and weaker unit volumes even as the company posted record revenue and raised guidance. Revenue reached $15.68 billion, up 12.5% year over year and above the $14.34 billion estimate, while adjusted earnings of 83 cents per share—including an 11-cent tariff-refund benefit—topped the 69-cent consensus. HP guided fourth-quarter adjusted EPS to 69–79 cents, above the 67-cent estimate, raised fiscal 2026 adjusted EPS to $3.19–$3.29 from $2.90–$3.10 versus a $3.04 consensus, and lifted free-cash-flow guidance to $3.0–$3.2 billion. On Thursday, TD Cowen kept a Hold rating and raised its target to $30, UBS maintained Neutral and lifted its target to $28, and Morgan Stanley kept Underweight while raising its target to $19. Technically, the shares remained above their major moving averages after a June golden cross, with resistance near $32 and support around $27.50.
