Argentine biotechnology company Biosidus said its new bioreactor plant is operational, expanding production capacity for biologic medicines and strengthening its ability to support potential international demand. The company’s agalsidase beta, a biosimilar enzyme replacement therapy for Fabry disease, was developed and manufactured in Argentina and launched there in 2025. Biosidus said the additional capacity supports international supply and enables discussions with partners and health authorities seeking sustainable, reliable sources of the treatment. Mario Koch, Director of Rare Diseases, said continuity of treatment is especially important for patients with rare and chronic diseases. The expansion forms part of a broader strategy combining scientific capabilities, local manufacturing, industrial investment and international expansion to improve access to complex biologic therapies.
