U.S. stocks ended slightly lower on Wednesday, Aug. 27. MSX.COM data showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.21%, the S&P 500 down 0.02% and the Nasdaq Composite down 0.08%, while the VIX volatility index fell 1.55%. BIT (bit.com) data had initially put the Dow's decline at 0.2%. Optical communications and storage shares gained, and AI-related stocks broadly advanced, led by Arista Networks, Arm, Cognex, Oracle and Palantir. Semiconductor shares were mostly higher despite Nvidia's decline, while neocloud stocks fell across the board, led by IREN's drop. MSX, described as a major real-world-asset trading platform, has listed hundreds of RWA tokens linked to popular U.S. stocks and ETFs, including Nvidia, GOOGL, MSFT, AMZN, META, TSM and AMD.
