MDS Tech (086960.KQ) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Uniqconn, a developer of contactless data transmission semiconductors, to expand its autonomous driving, robotics and edge AI businesses. The companies will combine MDS Tech’s Nvidia embedded and automotive platforms with Uniqconn’s ultra-high-speed wireless technology and validate the technologies in autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots. MDS Tech will provide Nvidia-based test environments and technical infrastructure, while Uniqconn will supply contactless data transmission technology. Based on the results, they plan to develop edge AI businesses and service models. The agreement extends MDS Tech’s physical AI portfolio from Nvidia-based computing and vision and sensing into connectivity, creating a computing—vision/sensing—connectivity value chain. MDS Tech is also developing its Jetson-based AI computing business, working with Seoul National University’s Robotics Research Institute on talent development and distributing products under an exclusive agreement with SZ Sensing, an Nvidia robotics and vision elite partner.
