SOT106, an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) candidate developed by Sotio Biotech using Ligachem Biosciences’ ConjuAll platform, has received fast track designation from the FDA (U.S. drug regulator) for soft tissue sarcoma. The designation can support more frequent regulatory consultations and, if requirements are met, faster development and review through tools including rolling review and priority review. SOT106 targets LRRC15, a protein broadly expressed across multiple sarcoma subtypes, and is intended for patients with limited treatment options. The candidate also received FDA orphan drug designation for osteosarcoma in May. Sotio plans to begin its first-in-human trial this year. SOT106 is the first ADC candidate produced under a November 2021 licensing agreement granting Sotio global development and commercialization rights to multi-target ADC therapies using Ligachem Biosciences’ ConjuAll technology.
