SPX6900 (SPX), a memecoin parody of the S&P 500, gained between 60% and 66% over the latest reported week, according to different updates, as the memecoin sector posted an average 16% return and Bitcoin’s 10% rise improved altcoin sentiment. The token also gained more than 10% in 24 hours in the earlier report, while daily trading volume rose more than 120% to about $27 million and open interest increased sharply. CryptoQuant data indicated that retail traders drove the rally, while large and small whales remained largely inactive. Net whale flow over 30 days was about $900,000, comprising $3.90 million in purchases and $3.01 million in sales. Long/Short ratios were 1.56 on Binance and 3.67 on OKX, suggesting particularly strong positioning among OKX retail traders. SPX6900 broke out of an eight-month consolidation, with traders targeting $0.70-$0.75 if the price holds above $0.50. A pullback toward $0.50 remains possible, while $0.55 is a resistance area on the way higher.
