DN Solutions has completed its first manufacturing plant in India, a facility of approximately 100,000 square meters in the ITIR Industrial Complex in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It is the company’s first overseas manufacturing investment since establishing a production base in Yantai, China, in 2003. The first phase represents an investment of 60 billion Indian rupees, approximately 86 billion Korean won, and the company is reviewing additional investment of a similar scale depending on future demand. The plant integrates research and development, production, service and training, and will initially manufacture vertical machining centers from the SVM series and horizontal turning centers from the LYNX and LEO series for the Indian market. DN Solutions is also considering future production of advanced machine tools such as five-axis machines. The site includes a technical center, repair and parts center, and DN Academy, while the facility’s longer-term role is expected to include global exports. CEO Kim Won-jong said India’s domestic market, English-speaking workforce, engineering talent and young population support its long-term competitiveness.
