Latvia’s retail sales rose 7.0% year-on-year in July 2026, accelerating from a revised 5.2% increase in June and reaching their highest level since January. Growth was broad across non-food products, automotive fuel and specialized categories, while food sales slowed. Portugal’s retail sales growth accelerated to 3.0% year-on-year, up from a revised 2.7% in June and marking the strongest pace in three months. Latvia’s monthly sales increased 2.5%, while Portugal’s were unchanged after a downwardly revised 1.4% increase in June.
